Why is visualizing the subject matters in our mind so important in Flight Training?
Visualizing the images is a learning style. Information may be learned in a variety of ways: by seeing or hearing, by reflecting or acting, analyzing or visualizing, or it may be learned piecemeal or steadily. Evidence from the scientific community has shown that Visualization and Imagining allow us to remember effectively and mentally rehearse our intended movements. Visualization and action are intimately connected, involving the motor cortex. Over time the brain learns our routine movements, allowing these actions to become more automatic and fine-tuned.

Stalls (power on & power off), slow flight, steep turns and emergency landings are all my troubles (initially some kind of fear) before the Private Pilot Check ride. Flight Instructor told me clearly that `I had forgotten the sequence of the maneuvers how to do and requested me to be fully knowledgeable with all maneuvers. To tell the truth, the most difficult part is to learn the detail of all principle maneuvers and sequences of each maneuver (totally 12 different maneuvers), the effect of each maneuver and corrective action how to be taken thoroughly. I ordered this visualised maneuvers poster and hung up just in front of my PC, day by day I felt to be more knowledgeable in memorizing and visualizing all maneuvers I have had trouble in practicing. I strictly recommend to all new flight training beginners , even before the start of practical flight training.
